I Illustrated and laid out concept assets for Taylor Swift’s cancelled 2020 tour Lover Fest. The original festival was supposed to stop in multiple countries and functioned as a more traditional stadium tour. With my redesign I chose to interpret it as more of an actual festival within an arena, with multiple performing artists and all-day events.
I illustrated portraits of Taylor Swift as the headlining artist and host for the event. I also created backgrounds, a logo and alternate imagery to help tie the project together.
I hand-illustrated the logo to look like a ribbon twisted into letters to give a feminine, elegant air to the project. I used Bebas Neue and Decoy as my fonts to give a vintage vibe without being dated or hard to read. The color palette is red and pink with a creamy yellow accent; I chose to rebrand the album to this darker color palette to help it appear more mature and aligned with Swift’s age and era of her life at the time.
I wanted Lover Fest to feel like a true experience for concert-goers, which is why I designed unique and memorable merchandise pieces for the event. While you have basic concert merchandise such as t-shirts, I also designed a pillow concept and a complimentary decorative ticket.
